Question by Leslie D: Does anyone know how I could get hold of either a cheap or a used womens’ figure skating costume?
Don’t ask why (long story) but I’m supposed to dress up as Tonya Harding for an upcoming party. Needless to say, it doesn’t have to be anything “elegant” or elaborate, just something that looks like what a figure skater would wear. I looked on e-bay but didn’t find anything–then again, I’m not very good at searches. Does anyone have a good idea for me? I don’t want to spend a lot of money on this.

If it helps, I’m a US (female) size 4 to 6.

Call a local ice rink and see if they have a pro shop that sells used/inexpensive dresses. Also ask if there is a figure skating club associated with the rink. Clubs often sell used dresses as a way of fund raising Skaters get rid of old dresses and the club get a percentage of the profit. If you aren’t sure where there’s a rink you Can check the yellow pages or you can look up figure skating clubs on the www.usfsa.org and click on the link for clubs.

I’m going to be a nun for Halloween and all the costumes are listed in womens dress sizes. I’m 6′4″, 285 and wear a XXL. What size would I need?

you’re definitely going to want a women’s plus. if you can find a 3x, that should be about right. warning – it’ll be short because costumes are usually made in “average” length (which is made for those from about 5′4″ to 5′8″). i say have it shortened further and be a skanky nun just for kicks!

The idea of some Halloween costumes can seem not only exciting but sometimes pretty scary for little kids.

There are a variety of exciting scary Halloween costumes and accessories for kids. With such costumes it is possible for you to make kids look scary in a Halloween party. The scary Halloween costumes are designed in such a manner to make kids look best, confident, attractive and scary.

Scary Halloween costumes can range from the simple scary to the most devilish. .
